EBS provides consulting services separate from the broker side of our operations. EBS Employee Benefit Consulting Services can assist you with an outside opinion and evaluation of your employee benefits program (insurance companies, TPA, stop loss insurance, contribution strategy, plan design, ERISA compliance, fee structure, and even an evaluation of your current broker). 

After a data gathering, EBS will recommend specific services that your company should consider. The following are areas of expertise EBS is known for in our industry.


List of Services

The following is a list of services you can choose from or after a data gathering meeting with EBS consultants we can make recommendations of what area(s) we should be focusing on.
  • Analyze overall benefits package to include current plan design, contribution strategy, past renewal increases and claims review to establish broker performance regarding cost containment /negotiations, vendor quality and financial viability; Make specific recommendations.
  • Review insurance policies, endorsements, and review ERISA required language, consistent dependent eligibility requirements, domestic partner language, and other possible contractual errors or omissions 
  • Prepare RFP specifications, obtain and analyze quotes, make specific recommendations 
  • Conduct negotiations with insurance companies, brokers and agents 
  • Provide advice and review third party administrator agreements and manage the selection process of third party administrators 
  • Assist in purchasing specific and aggregate stop loss insurance 
  • Review claims reports and make recommendations to reduce costs 
  • Provide Wellness Programs –biometrics, health fairs, health risk assessments to identify early detection and reduce acute episodes. Implement incentive programs in conjunction with timelines and intervention of lifestyle programs to meet goals in order to further reduce claims costs. 
  • Compliance Audit provide a confidential audit by assessing potential ERISA, ACA, CMS, Group Health Plan, DOL and other plan violations or deficiencies and determine what corrections or problems need to be addressed.
